We have developed a magnetic external insulation specifically for the cab, where most heat is lost in winter.

Well insulated 365 days a year

In winter, the magnetic external insulation protects the interior from the cold while at the same time preventing heat inside the vehicle from being lost through the window surfaces too quickly. Insulating from the outside has the advantage that cold air does not come into direct contact with the glass pane and therefore cannot enter the interior unhindered. This is mainly ensured by the closed-cell foam (extreme insulator) in the core of the external insulation.

In summer, the external insulation in turn provides optimum shielding of the interior from sunlight and heat from outside, thereby preventing the greenhouse effect.

No condensation

Who doesn’t know the problem? During a cold night, condensation forms on the inside of the glass pane. This happens when the warm air inside the camper cools on the much colder glass pane and the moisture present in the air in the form of vapour condenses. Before the journey can continue, the windscreen has to be wiped dry first. With the external insulation from Project Camper, condensation on the pane can be completely avoided.

Quick and easy fastening

The magnetic external insulation is placed precisely on the window pane and then automatically adheres to the bodywork. For fixing to the windscreen, both wiper blades are additionally folded onto the insulation and the sewn-in webbing straps are placed around the driver’s and passenger’s door handles and tightened. The webbing straps of the side external insulation are attached to the mirror arms. In addition, all external insulations have large plastic eyelets, which provide an individual fastening option in strong winds.
