COLOUR VARIANTS & CONSTRUCTION

We offer our fully quilted thermal material in numerous colour combinations: the specially coated exterior material of the thermal material is available in black or light grey. The interior fabric offers numerous designs to choose from.

Interior: Matte polyester fabric with stain protection, water-repellent, crease-resistant

Middle: 8-millimetre insulating foam core, very heat-resistant

Exterior: Specially coated polyester fabric, water column 1,000 mm, very heat-resistant and light-fast

Which insulates better against sunlight, light grey or black (exterior)?

In the short term, the black exterior material warms up faster than the light grey. However, the insulating core of the thermal material prevents heat from entering the interior immediately. In the long term, both variants insulate roughly equally well.

The key to insulating against heat from sunlight is preventing the greenhouse effect inside the vehicle. This is achieved by blackout of the windows. Here, the black exterior material has a small advantage, as virtually no light passes through the black-coated material. For those who love a long lie-in, the black exterior material is also recommended – equally so for 'undercover camping', because the black material isn't immediately recognisable as thermal matting from the outside.

Our recommendation: If you park your motorhome directly in the sun for weeks at temperatures above 25 degrees, we recommend the light grey exterior material. Otherwise, you can confidently use the black variant.
