Magnet exterior insulation VW Crafter 2 driver's cab complete (from 2017)

Specifically designed for the cab, which is where most heat is lost in winter, we've developed a magnetic external insulation.

In winter, the magnetic external insulation protects the interior from cold and simultaneously prevents heat inside from being lost too quickly through the window surfaces. Insulating from the outside has the advantage that cold air doesn't hit the glass pane directly and thus can't enter the interior unimpeded. This is mainly due to the closed-cell foam (Extreme Insulator) in the core of the external insulation.

In summer, the external insulation optimally shields the interior from solar radiation and external heat, preventing the greenhouse effect.

No condensation

Who doesn't know this problem? On a cold night, condensation forms inside on the glass pane. This happens when the warm room air in the camper cools at the much colder glass pane and the moisture present in the room as vapour condenses. Before continuing the trip, you first have to wipe the windscreen dry. With Project Camper's external insulation, condensation on the pane can be completely avoided.

Fastening in a flash

The magnetic external insulation is placed precisely on the window pane and then automatically adheres to the body. To fix it to the windscreen, both windscreen wipers are additionally folded onto the insulation and the sewn-in straps are placed around the door handles on the driver's and passenger's sides and strapped down. The straps of the side external insulation are attached to the mirror arms. Additionally, all external insulations have large plastic eyelets that provide an individual fastening option in strong winds.
